Hi, it's my first post even though I've been reading you guys for a while. I want to know about Pantone colors, if there is an actual printed book that I have to buy where it'll tell me the CMYK values for printing, or if it's something that's downloaded where I can pick colors.

I hope you can help me because I want to do things "right" and at the moment I'm making a magazine but picking the colors on screen in U.S. Press color settings. It kind of works fine, but a person just told me to make a logo with a certain number Pantone, I don't know much about it.

Thanks a bunch!

I live with the Pantone Solid to Process guide book because it gives you an idea of how process, rather than spot, colors will actully print like.

It can be ordered from Pantone.com. It's not cheap.

Thanks, I guess I have to find something basic and not too expensive for the moment. I saw some for 100something.
