Hello all!

Our new NetWare 6 system causing upgrade havoc. Our Tape Drive (HP SureStore T20Xi)is not working well with it. It turns out that the manufacturers only have the NetWare 5 drivers for it.

Is there a good site on the web where I can find 3rd party (NetWare 6-compatible) drivers for our tape drive?

I tried using a search engine for "HP SureStore T20Xi NetWare Driver", but came up with nothing. I tried "Tape Drivers", and came up with a bunch of sites that did not relate.

If anyone out there can suggest something, I would be very grateful!

Thanks!

I am using Veritas Backup Exec 9, Build 1474.

I would like this storage device to work with my Backup Exec 9 on my NetWare 6 server. Am I to assume that the backup software will provide updated drivers for the tape driver storage hardware, even though it does not have any drivers for NW6?

(Thanks in advance for your help)

That drive is not on the compatibility list for Backupexec. You will not be able to find a third part driver, it is up to Veritas or HP to make a driver. There is a lot of info on the HP support site, you may want to start there.

You can also just say to hell with it. If the drive is scsi, just use NWASPI and use it like any other ASPI device. Brent Schmidt CNE, Network +
