Hi Everyone.

I have been asked to check that the email address Mitel has been configured to send to when notifications arise is a valid address and not that of some one who has left the company. Does any one know where I could find these settings?

Please note I am no Mitel guru but I do know my way around the OPs manager and the enterprise manager to a degree :)

We are currently running enterprise manager v6 I believe

Thanks in advanced

Mo

I think it depends what version you are running however the IP of the Email Server and the senders address are configured in the system options form

Thanks for you help but I cant seem to find a System Opitons form. The only for I can find that is close to "System Options" is "System Options Assignment" which has a senders email address but not the address it sends to

Cheers
Mo

Hmmm, sorry James1982 I can seem to find that one either. I have selected the All Forms drop down menu and am produced with the following forms. I checked the Alarm Details form but that seemed to be emty. Thanks again for your help

Your posts mention several products and its is not clear what you are trying to achieve. This is why your answers are not so good.

If you mean "Where do I find the email address that a voicemail is forwarded to" And you are using the Embedded voicemail, Then this is found in the setting for the Mailbox. Exact Form name is Voice Mailbox Configuration.

If this is not what you want please be more specific.

Thanks Boycey, ill try be more specific

One of our mitel sites went down due to a power outage however we did not receive any email notifications alerting us about this. We usually get emails telling us if a site has gone down for what ever reason, but this time we did not. I have been asked to check if the email address the mitel system sends these system notifications to is still a valid address (or if it is emailing a technitian who is no longer with us)

What I am trying to find is where this address can be checked/changed

Hope this is more clear

thanks

The Email notifications are setup in Enterprise Manager.

There are Event Notifications and Alarm Notifications.

Each can be configured with mulitple emails

All of the answers above would have applied as well had your software version been more recent.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I would say either its a very early release of software or you have npt got advanced voicemail on the system so the forms won't be there...

Look in licence and options form and see if advanced voicemail and remote management have licences...

Everyone - This has Nothing to do with VM Email

This is Notification of Alarms

Prior to Rel 4.0? 4.1? this was only possible via Eman.

having said that none have advanced vm on either which may make a difference.

Thanks kwbMitel. I believe the exact release of our Enterprise Manager is Release 6.0.2.5 or atleast this is what it says when I click on Help---> About Enterprise Manager

I do not wish to make any changes to voicemail.
This thread does not relate to voicemail at all. Im am sorry if I some how gave the impression this related to voicemail

Thanks
Mo

MoMurdoc - I understood you fine, others did not. Have you found the notification setup in Eman yet?

Thanks for your reply.

Sadley no.... I have gone through all the menus and cant find anything they resembles Notification Setup.

I don't have easy access to Eman.

I'll see if I can get one of my customers to get me a screen capture.

Within Enterprise manager you should have a diagnostics tab at the top, click on this and get a drop down. The two options you need to look at are "Alarm Filters" and "Event Filters" I think once you find this you will find it pretty self explanatory.
If you cant see this option then the account you are logging in to Enterprise with must be restricted.

Thanks Boycey9, I have managed to find the Diagnostics menu and it does show alarm lists, alarm fileters, even lists and event filters. I have looked into all of these options and checked the properties of each item but I still cant seem to find anything that relates to email notifications

cheers
Mo

Go in to Alarm Filters, select one and click edit, Its all there. SMTP server, senders address and Recipient list.
Are you sure you have full access. The one thing Im not sure of is whether all alerts will show up in all profiles or just the ones they are created in.

Thanks to everyone who helped and offed advice in this thread and extra Thanks to boycey, This is exactly what I was looking.
