I have a user with a Personal Macro Workbook that opens with Excel and stays hidden. She has setup custom icons on her toolbars that link to the macros. She is getting a new computer and would like everything back. I have the personal.xls file with the macros but can't find where the custom buttons are saved. I can recreate them easily enough but she has about a dozen of them with modified icons. Anyone know where they would be?

...it contains your menu/toolbar customizations.

Pretty much - It is also the cause of many a crash for a lot of people. If the file exceeds say 30-50K in size they are probably headed for a fall anyway. Would be as well to store a copy of it once you have found it, as the easiest fix for a lot of crashes is simply to delete the *.xlb. Excel will simply create another one for you.

Doesn't seem to be a problem anymore in 2002, but prior to that it was a bit of a nightmare for a lot of people.

Regards
Ken...............
