When will Lotus officially end support for 4.6?

I've been nosing around on behalf of a friend of a friend and cannot seem to find any recent information about when Lotus will drop all support of Lotus 4. The latest info I could find was an article dated spring of 2001 stating that Lotus was considering dropping engineering support for 4.6 in January 2002 and all other support in January 2003.

Does anyone have any information that is more current, and if so, is there a web link to the info?

We use R5 here, so I have not focused on this before, but this friend of a friend is looking for solid info to take to the finance department in order to upgrade to R6.

The latest reference I found was Jan 2003. See below.

"...Lotus officials gave some mixed messages at Lotusphere, but the official position now is that support for Version 4.6 will end next January. That date is subject to change if customers tell Lotus they need more time, a spokesman said. In addition, engineering support will end January 2002, and phone service support will be extended until January 2003.

According to Lotus, half of Notes clients and 60% of Notes servers have upgraded to R5. The company expects the rest to begin migration in the next six months, the spokesman said..."
