I am trying to reinstall dial up network on win 98 2nd ed.
Having ticked the box in add/remove,windows system, I am prompted to insert the win 95 cd. when I do this I keep getting the msg that it could not find the file." ppp mac.vxd" . I would be grateful if anyone out there could help.

Hi Mr. A,

try this step 1st:

Start -> Settings --> Control Panel --> Network

1) Remove all the protocols including TCP/IP or NetBUEI.
Of course have to write down the settings if there are any.
2) Reboot the system, it should prompt you that network is not complete.
3) After rebooting, re-add the protocols again.

Cheers,
Choon : )
