I've got to run ForstPrep and DmoainPrep before I begin the installation of our first Exchange 2003 server, but I need to know if it's safe to run both ForestPrep and DomainPrep during normal office hours??? Will this have any negative effects on the network in any way??

I realise that there needs to be a delay between each so that complete replication has taken place.

I would advice NEVER to do any server-task during office hours, regardless of what they are.
In this case, interaction could back-fire both ways, as users are maybe connected and modifying things, while you are too.
Several services are stopped and restarded, plus you will need to restart the server too.
So, you are far safer to do this during off-hours.
