When replacing 7942 with an 8811...

...is this as simple as deleting the 7942 then adding the 8811? Sorry for the newbie question ;-). What makes me ask is the 7942's protocol is SCCP were the 8811 is SIP. I suspect it's not a quick easy delete/rebuild. Thx!
 
Just a matter of programming the 8811 with the correct settings and DN's.

Sounds about right. It registered and is functioning 100% per the end-user. Thx!
 
It seems like you already got it up and running but it can be tricky depending on what your running. If you are running older CME (10.5 for example) then it is tricky as you have to configure it in fast track mode. It is more trial and error like that then anything else but still doable.
