When no records why does it create PDF file with header and footer

Hello guys, when there is no data why PDF file is still being created with header and footer text. How do avoid this PDF creation as I do not know how to fetch Getrowcount() from a report.

It's urgent . I will appreciate your help.

Click on File->Report Options and check Suppress if no records found.

I have ticked this option both in Options menu and Report Options menu but still it generates a file because this report has a heading eg. "Account Details Report" so it exports it. Am I doing something wrong ?

What are you referring to when you say "it"? CE? An application?

In my scheduling application (Visual CUT) I have an option to abort scheduled processing if the report finds only zero records. Are you looking for code to do this? If so, what object model and language are you using?

It's very simple I would like to pick numberofrecords before triggering the job so that if I know in advance there are no records I will simply abort that job.
