when logging onto site requires domain ie: domain\username

one little problem im having is that when people access our targit or webmail site it requires that they enter the username in the form of : domain\username

i have gone into directory security and i have integrated windows security checked and i have the default domain and relm entered.

is there away to make it so the server always assumes that it is from the domain ?

Im not 100% sure, but I think you want basic authentication. You would protect the clear text password over the internet using SSL. If you have a single domain you can also use "\" in the default domain.
