I'm using Crystal Reports 8.5 and VB 6.0. The report uses an ODBC system dsn that points to a FoxPro database. Nowhere in my VB code do I explicitly connect to the database, and all has been working ok - each machine that the software runs on as the same dsn defined. But, recently one of the client machines is hanging for a long time when trying to display a report in the Crystal Viewer - it is trying to authenticate itself with the NT domain. I don't know if it is related to the database connection or not (the database is local)...
When is "logging on" required? And, if it is not required in my case, are there any advantages to doing so?
Thanks so much!
Cathy
