When I open any Office program, it closes right away

As soon as I open any program in Office 2k (Outlook, Excel, Word, P.P.), it stays open for a second, the closes right away.

This was a brand new install and it worked fine at the time of installation, but now is acting a little wacky.

Also running W2K pro on this laptop and have installed Windows SP3 and Office SP2.

Can anyone help me??

yeah, the cd key was the problem. thanks smah.
