When I do a mt -f /dev/rmt/0 status

When I do a mt -f /dev/rmt/0 status as NON_ROOT I get a message write protected or reserved. Doing the command as root is okay.

Does anyone have any ideas.

What for an user you tried? Which privilege has your user?Because I think you must be root for this command!
