When I add images to GoDaddy , some of them just get cutt of . 2

Good day Experts!

Try as I might I was unable to add some images to my newly designed GoDaddy website home page.
For example, while some images/pictures were successfully added, the other ones were cutoff .
For example the following one:

I tried to resize them through Paint but it just didn't work. I have no idea how to resolve it. This is my 1st experience with web design as well as with GoDaddy.

Could you please give me a hand?

Hi Katrin,

I don't know what GoDaddy adds or takes away from your site, but in general you need to check the height and width attributes of your <img> tag. These need to match that of your image (in pixels).

In other words, if you had the following tag:

[tt]<img src="photos/photo1.jpg" width="240" height="180" alt="My photo" />[/tt]

the image should be 240 pixels wide by 180 high.

(To be more exact, the image should maintain that aspect ratio, rather than be that exact size. But don't worry about that for now.)

I've had second thoughts about my answer. Getting the height and width attribtues wrong might cause an incorrect aspect ratio for the image, but it has got nothing to do it being cropped.

It's more likely that the problem is caused by an incorrect width of a parent container, but without seeing the actual page it's difficult to know.
