A user has autoarchive set up for 29 days. Our expire and reduce policy takes place every week expiring any items 30 days or older. If the user does not log in for 40 days. Will his messages be archived or does the fact that he didnt log in stop the process from taking place. Thanks

When does archive actually take place

I'm not sure about this one but I noticed that when I start up my client for the first time everyday a message appears in the lower left hand control bar about Auto-Archiving Mail. So I always thought that since this is a client setting that it only ran when the client was started.
I also have some people who have all their mail auto-forwarded to an outside account and their messages don't seem to archive at all.
