when connecting to ip office vis vpn the phone blanks out an responede

I have a vpn set up with a linksys router and a sonicwall. i can ping the file sever and call server from my desk top at home. when the phone the phone logs in and ask for an extension and password. It seems to be communicating to the file server ( if u put in a incorrect password it tells you). it then it say's that the ext is in use would u like to reregister. when i press pound the screen goes blank. also if i do a mute "view" the view settigs screen goes blank after 3-4 seconds. any idea's

I am having the same problem with Linksys BEFVP41 to RV082, when I ping the remote routers public IP I am loosing lots of packets. I should say the problem ins't always there.
