Can I manipulate the printer icon with code that when its a form that the focus is on, it should prompt the user to ask if they want to print the form, and when its a report it should print it without prompting?

Where would I place code like this since it a global function?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks vbajock

I appreciate the links and understand how I can see which screen is active at the moment.

However I want to know where would I put that code when I click on the Print Icon or hit Ctrl P. (in other words is there an event procedure that occurs when the print icon or ctrl p is clicked on to stop it when its a form)

Personally I think a user should use their brains and not click on the print icon or control P only a when a report is displayed.

But I as a programmer i need to deliver the users request.

Thanks!
