Hello,

Just wondering what you folks are seeing in the field most when it comes to Avaya IPO voicemail? Is Voicemail Pro being installed 50/50 on Linux vs MS Windows/Server - or is Linux more because the OS is more cost effective? Just wondering what folks are seeing out there right now?

Happy Thanksgiving!

We install the App Server on VMWare, along with a Windows computer for remote access and management. The hardware is more expensive, so for smaller site (say less than 50 users), it's just a Windows computer with Manager and VMPro.

Completely depends on the customer, the application, and the size of the installation.

Simalar..100% Linux apps server..simple to install and maintain

Agree with TTT either go application server if you can or small site go a regular Windows PC (make sure the OS is Pro, power doesn't turn HD off or go to sleep, open firewall ports or turn off firewall etc). Really no reason to go with a Windows server honestly.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
