I am trying to add text to a Memo field in my database and get the following pop-up error message "Could Not Update, currenly locked by another session on this machine"

Has this happened to anyone and how do I fix it?

I tried reloading the form, and it works for a few entries, then starts giving me the error again.

All help would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!

ACCESS thinks that your file/ record is being used by another user. In the event you are the only user, you may well have another instance of ACCESS that is holding that field. A pessimistic recordlock will do this.

Hey Rolliee,

Thanks for the reply. Do i need to add a record lock or remove one? For every field in my form?

Thanks

at leaast check them and if you have multiple users maybe a change to optomistic lock or unbound forms is what you really want.
