Hi All,

So, What's the Windows API? How do I use it or take advantage of it? Is there any "for novices" type documentation? Is it the same as "COM"?

I'm a programmer and use VB6 with WIN 98. I've constantly come across it, but never have seen the need to exploit it.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Peace.

For VB and the WIN32 API try Forum711

Application Programmers Interface has been one definition.

The API allows you to access prebuilt functions and methods that are part of the OS when it is installed.

Try Dan Appleman's Programmer's Guide to the Win32 API

Good Luck
