We are just about to change over to ID in the next few weeks at work (newspaper) and I've been playing around with ID at home to try to get a head start. Most frustrating is when in Quark I would just shortcut alt+control M to get to the measurements pallet. I can't seem to find a shortcut that gets you down to the, I think ID calls it the CONTROL pannel. Does anyone know of such a shortcut?

Alt-Ctrl-6 (PC) [Not sure for a MAC off the top of my head]or TAB - You can save your workspace once you have set it up the way you want. Window > Workspace > ...

To find Control without shortcuts go to Window > Control

HTH! :)

Take a look at Edit menu/keyboard shortcuts. Make sure that Default set is selected in the Set tab and then select View menu in the Product area tab. You should find the windows shortcut, and many others there. You can a;so build any shortcuts you desire - or change the present ones.

I use a mac and the Control shortcut is Command + / + 6 (without those + signs).

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4
