What's the mean "NOTRUNCATE TABLE"?

I reorgnize online my table.(online reorg)
db2 "reorg table TEST INPLACE ALLOW WRITE ACCESS NOTRUCATE TABLE START"

Um.. "NOTRUNCATE TABLE" I can't understand this option.
What's the mean "NOTRUNCATE TABLE
 
Without the additional clause DB2 will try to reclaim space by truncating the table. (This is not a truncate as known with Oracle that deletes all data)
This last action will lock the table and this will prevent writing to the table.
So by adding the NOTRUNCATE clause the table will stay unlocked during the entire process and data can be written to it..
