What's the fuss with extra coding 1

Ok, I understand that programs like FP uses unnecessary coding. What can this unnecessary coding do to screw things up?

Some other browsers might not read it properly. I was reading an article & I think it said there were 89 different browsers out there. Some of this extra, bloated code might not be rendered properly. Plus if you go to the website to be validated - you will see that the code is not valid to the HTML specifications.
