Hmm, how about enabling this feature for all SMS-clients ?
Open up the SMS-AdminConsole, go to Site Database / Site Hierarchy / <Sitecode> / Site Settings and then Client Agents.
There you can set the desired options for SW-inventory by opening up "Software Inventory Client Agent".
