Hi there,

I'm a bit confused about the follow commands, can you help to explain more?

access-list 101 permit ip host 192.168.168.0 255.255.255.0 host 12.23.34.45

access-list 101 permit ip 192.168.168.0 255.255.255.0 host 12.23.34.45

Are they the same or not?

Many thanks!

Well, the first one is invalid, since you are typing both the host keyword and then a network number and a mask, the syntax is that when you wan't to define a single ip addr. you could use the host keyword and then only the ip addr.
