what's the difference of the all types of tape drive

Hi, there,

I am considering buying a tape drive. What's the difference between all kinds of tape drive? The hard disk is 120G. I maybe only need to backup 40G. what speed should I choose?

One last question, where can I find some introductory articles about tape drive? I tried to search it at yahoo,
but could not find anything useful.

I hate to say this in the Quantum forum, but LTO is currently the leader in tape formats.

Do a search on LTO, SDLT, AIT and you should find some stuff. Also take a look on
