What's the difference between an authenticated user vs. a power user???

Power User is a local built-in computer account. It grants the user elevated privledges to the local computer. It is not a user account, it is a user group.

Authenticated Users are users that have logged on, as opposed to Guest accounts or the "everyone' group. In other words, the Authenticated Users have entered a username and password and a domain controller has authenticated them. This is unlike a person that has just plugged into the network and attempts to access a resource. They may not have been authenticated. The authenticated user has basic rights.

An authenticated users can be a member of the power user group.
