Hi

Can anyone tell me what the difference between the local "Administrator" account, and a local account that is a member of the Administrators group?

When you click on some items you have to confirm the action in case it is malicious, this is causing scripting issues under a local user (admins group).

Is it possible to turn this local user into the same as the "Administrator" account or turn off this feature?

Thanks

ah I sorted it out:

Control Panel

local security policy -

User Access Control: Behaviour of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode

Change to "elevate without prompting" (security risk... don't blame me!!)

Although I would like to know what else the Administrator Account can do that a member of the Administrator Group can't, and how you flag that account to be the same as the Administrator!

Hope it helps someone
