I hope this is the correct format.
We have been using BOExi and previous versions, and CRxi and previous versions, for a few years. However, many in our organisation still use BOExi excel output for further analysis. We want to move to more sophisticated methods such as using BO's range of analysis tools. However, this is where we run into problems. I thought we had to create OLAP cubes for BO tools analysis (as past experience with Crystal Analysis taught us this is what is required). Bearing in mind that such an OLAP will be based on a OLTP, not a data warehouse (as we do not currently have one).
My question is, is my reasoning outdated, and do I perhaps not fully understand the new BO offering. I assume that OLAP intelligence has taken the place of Crystal Analysis, and will only run over OLAP cubes (even those built over OLTP sources). Where then does Web Intelligence fit into this all, and can analysis be done based on Webi reports?
Excuse my ignorance, but I am tryig to fiorm a clear pic on how this all fits together.
