What's the Buzz on 7.0 Software?

Has anyone head anything about 7.0 or a newer MICS s/w version. I'd heard a while back about freeing up the companion fiber slots for station modules? Any buzz on the street?

There is no release date or any info yet, anything you here is only rumour.
As for companion ports my guess would be it still support the use of companion due to all existing sites still out there.

rls 7 will free up the last 2 ports 13,14 for station mods
it is due out in sept. this is according to nortel.
companion is dead duck. now the wireless product is
the new 802.11 sets from spectralink. with nortel branding

I have heard that 7.0 will free up the two companion ports.
It should be easy enough to allow companion use if needed.
There is talk about development being planned all the way through Rls. 9 Release date usage is still in the clouds.
