What's the best way to find all mails from an address programmatically

Hi there,
What is the best way to query multiple inboxes programatically to find all emails received from one specific address?

I webdav query solution would be suitable please.

I have managed to get this working for one inbox at a time but I need to query multiple inboxes (about 40 of them) to find any emails received from one sender.
(Needs to be fast because I'll be running the search frequently!)
