What's the best, economical training out there?

My IT Director wants me to create an Access datatbase/application for our Sales team to use to enter orders and then upload the data to our MRP system via dial-up connection and eventually internet. My knowledge of Access is between beginner and intermediate. I'm going to need some training in Access and probably Visual Basic to be able to do this app correctly. Any suggestions on great training for this project at a price that is reasonable? Thanks! X-)

As usual, there is the trade off between price and performance. GOOD 'training' is available on both Ms. Access and VB at VERY inexpensive rates. It is widely available and easily customized to your specific wants/need/interest. It is taught at your convenience and at the location of yuor choice. It DOES require one visit for "registration" - at your local book store. Simply, it is just the purchase and diciplined use of any of the several 'third party' self help books on the programs. I, personally, like the the Sybex Or Que series for both VB and Ms. Access, however my advice is to spend SEVERAL hours in the bookstore reviewing several canidates for each, so you get both the style you like and technical level appropiate to your current experience.

The alternatives may be found in to many alternatives to even pratically consider, but will inevitably have the same selection of cost/schedual/and level of detail you need to review for the publications - with out the convenience of being able to review the content.
