Hey there,
I am trying to squeeze every last drop out of this web application I am developing in java, and I was wondering does anyone know whether there is an appreciable difference in the performance of code produced by java compilers widely available today. Thank you.

Currently I'm enjoying Jakarta Ant but I'm not sure if I could call that a seperate compiler all its own... more like a repackaging of javac, just accessing it through the class rather than the exe. I like it because it's extremely easy to configure for larger projects as well as lightweight. Liam Morley

I've heard good things about jikes, from IBM. <p>Liam Morley<br><A HREF="mailto:"></A><br>&quot;light the deep, and bring silence to the world.<br>light the world, and bring depth to the silence.&quot;
