I can't find where it's mentioned what the limit is for the number of IP sets the BCM400 can support.

I know there are some variables such as if Call Center, Fax Messaging, and UM is implemented, so for a generic systme what would the limit be?

Say, a BCM 400 3/5split, with only a DTI module installed, no digital sets, what's the limit?

Then on the other side of the spectrum- a BCM 400 with CC, UM, Fax messaging, 3x DSM32's and 2x DTI's, what would the capacity be for adding IP phones on this type of full-sized BCM system?

If anyone could point me to the documents that cover this, I'd be even happier! Thanks for any help.

Per the BCM Resource Calculator program : BCM 400 - 3/5 DS 30 Split, DTI, No digital sets, 6 voicemail ports active equals 84 total IP sets.

Your second scenario, figuring on 14 voicemail ports active, you'd be able to put 44 IP phones on the system.
