I am able to ftp into port 443 from the outside. I shouldn't be able to should I?
Then I turned off the Web Publishing service and can still ftp into it?
Sounds suspicious, doesn't it?
Any ideas how I can find out what application would be using or listening into port 443?

Thanks in advance.

Eric

443 is used (usually) for secure HTTP (SSL).

What are you running?

Even if I shut down the web publishing service, I can still ftp into it. Is that normal?

If you're not intentionally running a secure web server, I recommend a couple of online virus scans from faq760-3862 because it could be Slapper if you're running linux or Mipsiv or possibly some other trojan.
