What's CI Service ? Is it Causing BE to Fail

We have Microsoft SBS . On the event log it says " CI service Master merge has completed on C:\inetpub\catalog.wci " Could this be interupting our backup's?

This is Microsoft Index Server, part of IIS. It performs automated routines similar to what you're noticing in the logs. Unless your machine has unusually high utilization during these operations I wouldn't think it would cause problems with backups.

I run IIS and Backup Exec 8.5 on the same box and haven't run into any contention issues...
