I am looking to allow remote users access to our network using VPN and PCAnywhere / Terminal Services. I am looking for the fastest and simplest way to do this, rather than the cheapest way, so if we need to spend money we will as long as it's not over the top.
System:
Netgear DG834G router / firewall / broadband modem
There is a win2k server there, but this is not being used as a server, just another machine. I tried to set this up as a VPN server, but it wont recognise the network card as a valid connection.
The router is configuring all of the DHCP, so I am not sure how the server could allocate an IP to the incoming VPN user anyway.
As you can see, I am lost. What would we need to do to get this working? Do we get a separate modem, with a new router with VPN built in, or can we get something else to fit in to the setup to do it.
Your help would be greatly appreciated
