Hello everyone,

I need some advice, i have a client who has a extremly large house, he requires internet access throught the property.

He is currently using a HP 420WAP, this unit covers 3/4 downstairs and some of the upstairs.

Does any one know of a device that is more powerfull than the HP420, or some sort of other solution.

Thanks.

put unit in the attic ???

Thanks but not so easy.

There is no Power in the loft and also i am using netgear Powerline Ethernet adaptor for the network connection as there is no cat5 in the house.

I simply want to repalce the existing HP420 to something a lot more powerfull.

Thanks

Due to Federal Regulations, there is a power limit on APs.

Best bet is to install a single Router/Switch/AP unit and then strategically place and install multiple APs.

How big is the house? For Refference: I know my LinkSys gets a range of about 50-150 feet depending on what is between it and the wireless device.

Alternatively, you can set up a repeater.

Hi all, thanks for the reply's, i've decided to go for two Cisco Aironet 1100's, and set them up in roaming mode.

I'll get back to you with a status once its up and running.

Thanks you very much again.
