I have clients that have 2 Sites that both use the same domain and they are connected with Diginet (South Africa Connecting 2 sites with a direct line and routers)

Site 1 must have the SBS 2003 premium server IP range: 192.168.0.1-255; Site 2 can have a Windows 2003 server “I think it’s a must have” IP range: 192.168.1.0-255. All the documents and emails, webpage and other functionality must be saved on Site 1.

Basically it’s running SBS on a network with that’s connecting two networks with routers.

I had ones a network running like that but, my clients did not update and could not use the connect computer on the website, and there was other problems…

Please is there anyone with an idea on how to do the setup, or any advice on the setup.

I may be wrong but I may just be `n setting in ISA

I can’t even do a setup on `n test environment don’t have that facility and the time

Please help me

Layout of current network
SITE 1
In coming Internet connection: 192.168.2.1 Cisco Router (don’t have access)
Network IP range: 192.168.2.1 – 254
Connection to other site: 192.168.2.4 Cisco Router

Connecting the 2 sites that told me that there are VPN and it have 2 IP just can’t remember them :)

SITE 2
Connection to other site: 192.168.1.4 Cisco Router
Network IP range: 192.168.1.1 – 254

Thanks

As long as all the client workstations and the server in site 2 use the SBS server in site 1 as their DNS server, you should be in good shape.

You will also need to go into the IIS Management and get properties on the Default Web Site. Go into Security and in the IP restrictions area, add your site 2 subnet to the list of subnets that are allowed to access the server.

Personally, in this arrangement I usually use a hardware firewall and not ISA, so if you are sure that ISA is creating problems for you, I'm not the one to advise you on that. My recommendations above assume that the VPN from site 2 connects to the private network at site 1, and in that case ISA wouldn't be involved in filtering, if I understand things correctly.
