I will be taking a class in Oracle PL/SQL in a week and wanted to get an early start and install it on my machine at home.

What would be the best version of 10G for me to install? Standard, Lite or Express?

I'm running Windows XP Professional with 512MB RAM.

I'm not looking to perform DBA tasks, just create views, stored procedures, etc.

Thanks...

The class itself will be using Enterprise but I don't really need all that on my machine at home. Because I'll probably be using it even after the class is over, for my own personal benefit.

After further investigation, it seems that 10G Express would be the best option for me. It seems to have a smaller memory footprint than the other versions. Also, it seems to have some nice .NET Developer component integration.

I installed the Standard Version on my computer and I found it to be consuming a great deal of memory. Obviously this isn't a version meant to run on a desktop pc unless you have about 2 gigs of ram.
