What version of MySQL is installed in Ubuntu Server?

Hi all

Trying to establish the MySQL version installed when setting up a Ubuntu server.

Is it the MySQL Community Edition?

The version returned is

5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10

which sadly does not confirm if it is the MySQL Community Edition.

I havn't got mysql on my local machine but I think when you start the terminal monitor it tells you the version, and I think once in the system variables might give a clue
