Hi. I have some old Linux systems at my work and I am trying to find out what version of Redhat each of them are running.
I ran the following:
[red][rich@pro01 /proc]$ cat version
Linux version 2.0.36 (root@var3.varesearch.com) (gcc version 2.7.2.3) #1 Thu Jan 14 12:38:58 PST 1999
[rich@pro01 /proc]$ [/red]
but that doesn't seem to tell me what version of Redhat I am running, whether it be Redhat version 5.1 or 5.2.
Is there a way to find this out?
Thanks in advance! I HATE BEING A NEWBIE!
