What version Dos and what Version Win 98 am I running

Hi, How do I find what version of DOS this is on my compaq under win 98 and what version of win 98 is this?? It says win 98 without the SE so I am wondering if that is correct and should I be running SE?

And does XP run the same version of Dos??

In dos window, ver, shows 4.10.2222 for SE. Also knows as DOS7.
Think it shows the same for 98.
Under SE control panel, system, shows 4.10.2222A. Think the A is left off for 98.
It has been a while, and I don't have a 98 up.
Whatever is in XP is a reduced set of commands.

The version will be:

Windows 98 4.10.1998A

Windows 98SE 4.10.2222B
