What version do I need??

I hope someone can help a new programmer who is confused. ; ) I wrote a program in VB5 using the Crystal Reports 4.6 that came with it. My application never would work on NT/2000 and now it won't work on XP. It is unable to register crystl32.ocx. I am on a budget and have no other use for Crystal Reports other than this single application. Can anyone tell me what version of Crystal would make this work? For example, can I get the 5.0 version I saw on eBay for $20.00? Do I have to buy the developer edition to do what I need? Any difference between 8 and 8.5 for my simple application? I would really appreciate any help at all. Thanks in advance and have a great day!

You can upgrade using professional through V7. V8 introduced developer.
