I have been asked to find the following:

Which of the two options below does the ITG cards match:

Host Type: Voice Gateway Media Card
Software Version: IPL-4.00.55
Firmware Version: MC Firmware Rls 6.8
Nortel Part number NTVQ01

Host Type: Voice Gateway Media Card- Pentium.
Software Version: IPL-4.00.55
Firmware Version: MC Firmware Rls 5.7
Nortel Part number NTVQ55

The card is in the PBX already and I don't know how to find it or tell what version it is.
Thanks in advance!
Matt

As ITG cards there are only two differnt types available, ITG-P and SMC cards.

To keep is at simple as possible ITG-P cards are alwais two IPE slots wide.

The SMC card is one IPE slot wide.

The NT codes give futher information on the HW version within that specification.

To retreive the other informations you have to log on the card via...

... the element manager if exists
... the serial interface (loginid: itgadmin pw: itgadmin or 1st level loginid and 1st level password of switch in case of NNCS100M)
.. via telnet to ip adress of component if known.

then use ? or help to get a list of available commands and print out what you like.

But by the way the fw and the sw is not realy importan, because they are not fix (easy to change).

most cards respond to the idc 4 0 5 command, i don't have a itg to id to check that card, but this is the usage for that command
Code:
REQ  end
>ld 32
NPR000
.idc 4 0 5
 => NT8D02AB 030T7N00000000000000000

Here is the response from an Option 11 with a dual slot ITG card in it:

IDC 10

=> NT0966AA R13 NNTMET06D80D 200043

I don't know the response from a single slot card, as all of mine are the older, trunk-side versions that are the dual slot versions (The card is in slot 10, simply because the card size is a dual slot, but there is only one connection to the backplane. With no voicemail, this is a great way to save real estate).

Hope this helps,

Scott M.
