I received a picture in a word doc and copied as is to a new canvass in PS. What showed up is some sort of thermogram or something. Does anyonw know what the image is called? Thanks

what type of pic was it, e.g. tif gif bmp etc?
can you post the pic for us to see?

I can't seem to figure out how to insert it here, but if you simply take an image insert it in a Word document and then drag it onto a new blank canvass in PS you will see it.
Thanks for your reply, John

not exactly sure how it was made but you can try the following:

Open a normal portrait pic (of a persons face)in PShop then

Filter > Artistic > Cutout and make levels = 6, edge simplicity = 0 and edge fixed = 1

then adjust the colors

You can also try other artistic filters like Film Grain etc.

Did the original pic in MS Word look normal or like the one you sent to me?
