What Tools to Use??

I want to implement a solution of network managment
what solution to use??

1- use Tivoli Netview 6.0

or

2- Use Tivoli Framework with Tivoli Monitoring and Workbench

It depends on what you want to monitor and what you want to do with the events generated. NetView is great for know what network device is up or down and collecting SNMP traps, but Tivoli Distributed Monitoring is the tool for monitoring the computers themselves. All events are channeled through the TEC console and if you so choose sent to open calls in a Help Desk program such as Peregrine.

I suggest Tivoli management frame work(must).TEC integrated with Tivoli Netview.This is ideal solution for most of the environments..
