Hello All,
I have been using Frontpage to build my site and was thinking of changing to Dreamwaever or Flash. Which one of these two would be the better to choose?

Thanks

Dreamweaver and Flash are completely different tools.

Dreamweaver is a HTML/CSS development environment which is used for creating web sites.

Flash is an animation program used to create flash animations.

No Contest.
There is no point building an entire site in Flash when the majority of internet users don't even stay around on Flash intro pages!!! Even Macromedia's all flash site only lasted a few weeks on line.

It would get very few visitors and even less interest from the SE spiders.
Check out a few threads in the forums about what program to use for HTML, I personally tend to be moving away from DW to Edit+, it's a lot more resource friendly and as I only use DW as a syntax highlighting code editor there is no point in having all the 'features' of DW.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

yup i agree.

both the softwares have their own plus points.

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

If you have been using Frontpage then of the two you suggested I would go with Dreamweaver.

However I think you would gain much more value/experience/knowledge from using a text editor such as or the simple Notepad which can be found on any windows system.
You could use it to gain a deeper understanding of code issues which you will likely face in future. It's very important, IMHO, to know how to code by hand even if you stick with the WYSIWYG side of Dreamweaver.

Well ... my question is, what is it you hope to be able to do in changing software?

What is FrontPage lacking that you desire?
What is it you want to be able to do with your site that you would like to?

Those answers would dictate what you should be using. Funciton over form.
