Not sure where to ask this question but figured this group could direct me to the correct place. I am looking to add a backup connection to the internet in case our T1 were to stop working. Here's the setup.
T1 line to a Cisco 1601, to a hub, to a PIX. My inside IP addresses are all 10.1.x.x and my outside are 63.x.x.x. I host my DNS, email, and web. So the question is, if my T1 to the internet were to go down could I connect my PIX firewall to another connection like a DSL or ISDN to the internet and still get email, data, etc.
I believe DSL is out because of the IP address change. Some how I need to keep the 63.x.x.x address so my DNS works and then when the T1 comes back I can just switch back. This is just a temp short term solution to a T1 failure that may never happen.
Can someone point me to a place to help answer this question?

Thanks so much.

HI.

Try asking your ISP and also on the Cisco:Routers forum here.
From the pix side, you can only have 1 default gateway, so the solution must be managed by the router(s) and be transparent to the pix and the servers.

You can also arange some fault tolerance at the servers level, for example:
secondary DNS server at ISP location.
mirroed web server at ISP / hosting company.
mx record with your mail server as 1st priority, and ISP smtp server as 2nd.
