Will regular POTS/ Analog telephone lines (arranged in a huntgoup / equivalency) work with Norstar or other key systems? Usually, "Ground Start" lines are ordered from the telco. Will the regular "loop start" lines that our typical phone service uses also work ???

You usually need loop start lines for the Norstar.
What system do you have? (CICS, 4x8, MICS, etc.)

I have no particular system in mind, just Nortstar and key systems in general. Thanks for clarifying that loopstart, rather than ground start, is the typical connection to the telco.

A follow up question: would Loop Start work for PBX's? or are PRI's, DID trunks, and Ground Start lines more typical for PBX connections to the telco switch? (pardon the PBX question in a Nortstar forum).

Thanks again.

PRI is a ISDN circuit. On it you can have incomming/outgoing lines from Telco, also DID numbers.

DID can be on alot of switchs, either analoge or on T1/PRI.
Loop start lines are usually used for key systems.
Ground start lines are usually used on PBX.

Hope that helps!
